Barnie's is Gone!

We finally did it! We finally managed to drive the coffee franchise Barnie's out of Haywood Mall. It was a relatively short battle of two years but they finally admitted on Sunday that they were throwing in the towel.

An employee at the store was overheard saying "Coffee & Crema does this. Did you know that Coffee & Crema does that?" and "Why can't you guys taste more like Coffee & Crema? I'm sick of it!”

The Food Court will be a lonlier place without the coffee icon of more than ten years. One nostalgic customer wept as she saw the doors closed on Sunday. When asked who she thought could possibly stand up to the juggernaut of excellence that had closed Barnie's down she said, “No one can stand up to Coffee & Crema. They're brutal. I almost feel bad for whoever is going to try.”
